This year’s Go Mobility by MUBIL ends with great prospects for a growing sector

Go Mobility by MUBIL closed its doors yesterday after two days of a trade show reuniting Southern Europe’s sustainability mobility industry at a hands-on event held at Ficoba.

The sector was keen to reunite, as could be seen by the excellent atmosphere at the trade show venue’s three pavilions. Almost 1,500 people attended Ficoba on the two days of the fair to get a first-hand view of the product and service proposals of the 102 exhibiting companies participating in the event, which was held for the third time.

An initial study of the questionnaires filled in by the exhibitors showed a high degree of satisfaction with the quality of the visitors to the show. In fact, 87% of the survey respondents said they were interested in coming back to take part again in the next Go Mobility by MUBIL.

This was observed by Ane Insausti, MUBIL’s Director, who said “I got the chance to chat to many of the exhibiting companies and they told me how positive the fair had been. They all agreed that attending Go Mobility by MUBIL had been very beneficial, that they received a lot of consultations and made quality contacts. So I would rate it as being highly satisfactory”.

This satisfaction also extended to the visitors, who gave very high scores to both the variety and innovation of the proposals they discovered at Go Mobility by MUBIL, and also to the quality and interest of the topics on the conference programme, with speakers including leading personalities from the field of sustainable mobility.

As to the origin of the almost 1,500 professional visitors, 59% were from the Basque Country, 32% from the rest of Spain, mainly Madrid and Barcelona, and 9% from other European countries.

They also highlighted the backdrop provided by the show as a sector meeting point offering new possibilities for partnerships between the companies themselves, public institutions and local authorities.

Both the exhibiting companies and the visitors highlighted the importance of events like Go Mobility by MUBIL for driving activity in a key sector for the economy, where laws marking the path towards sustainable mobility are just around the corner and it is decision time for many stakeholders, from institutions and major operators to the users themselves.

In this context, Go Mobility by MUBIL was attended by a large number of major buyers from Spain and abroad who plan to invest in these sectors within the next two years and who come to events like Go Mobility by MUBIL to find the products and services that best suit their needs.

Go Mobility by MUBIL was held for the third time under the slogan “The Present and Future of Sustainable Mobility” on 27 and 28 April 2022 at the Ficoba Trade Show Venue in Irun. This industrial fair, promoted by the MUBIL Foundation, created as part of the Gipuzkoa Provincial Council’s Etorkizuna Eraikiz project and organised by the Provincial Council in collaboration with Ficoba, with backing from both the provincial body and the Basque Government, brought together all the actors in the new mobility value chain.
