(Donostia-San Sebastián, 11 April 2024). All the expertise in sustainable mobility, in both its industrial and digital aspects, will be brought together for two days at MUBIL Mobility Expo, the sustainable mobility trade fair in Southern Europe. The event will be holding its fourth edition of what has become a benchmark event for the entire sustainable mobility ecosystem and for all organisations wishing to learn first-hand about the most innovative products and services currently on offer in the marketplace.

The Ficoba pavilions and the outdoor exhibition area will offer visitors the products and services of 105 companies, representing the entire sustainable mobility value chain: motor vehicle companies, electrical equipment, battery manufacturers, energy suppliers (electric, oil, gas and hydrogen), infrastructure and network companies, service integrators, connectivity, Artificial Intelligence and Big Data, public institutions and fleet operators. A range of operators providing the market with answers and generating economic activity related to vehicles, charging infrastructure, energy storage for traction or charging applications, electric and shared mobility services, on-demand and Mobility-as-a-Service transport solutions, micro-mobility services, global ecosystem and markets for sustainable mobility.

As regards the geographical origin of these companies, 37% of exhibitors are from the Basque Autonomous Region, 50% from other parts of Spain, mainly Madrid (15%) and Barcelona (11%), while the remaining 13% come from countries such as France, Germany, Slovenia and the Netherlands.

Professional visitors and potential buyers

As well as the marketing of the exhibition, the interest generated by MUBIL Mobility Expo has also been demonstrated by the number of visitors. To date, more than 1,000 people have already pre-registered to attend the event. The visitors include representatives from operators, buyers, decision-makers from cities and companies and service providers looking for new business opportunities.

The registration for trade visitors is still open and can be submitted via the exhibition website.

As in previous years, MUBIL Mobility Expo will also organise a Hosted Buyers Programme to encourage attendance from specialist visitors (from both the private and public domain) with a proven capacity and intention to invest in sustainable mobility products and services. More than 29 Hosted Buyers from various Spanish

town halls, private transport operators, as well as potential buyers from Slovenia, Uruguay, France and Italy have already confirmed their participation.

Conference Area

In Ficoba’s Pavilion 2, exhibiting companies and visitors will find a reserved area in which to obtain key information and learn from experts who will share their knowledge and insights on key issues in sustainable mobility.

In the Conference Area, the opening speech will be given by Francisca Rubio who will be bringing up the highly topical theme of open space data at MUBIL Mobility Expo. Francisca Rubio is an expert in R&D&I and leads the GAIA X project in Spain. With more than 20 years of experience, especially in energy, lighting and smart buildings, she has now turned her attention to data applied to mobility.

In addition, 8 round tables have been scheduled on issues related to the latest developments in sustainable mobility, such as batteries, recharging infrastructure, multi-modal transport, autonomous vehicles, intelligent services and infrastructures for sustainable mobility, shared mobility and hydrogen.

Also, over the two days of the exhibition, various conferences will be held, entitled Fast Interviews, which have been selected by a panel from the proposals submitted by the exhibiting companies. This forum will address topics such as trends in the automotive sector and vehicle electrification technologies: Medusa, the pioneering sustainable solution for electric vehicle charging; the historic opportunity in 2028 to decentralise railway PSOs and intermodal concession maps; and Kaindar, the first Smart grid port in the Basque Country, among others.

Test Drive, vehicle demonstrations and driving

The Test Drive area is the practical focus of the MUBIL Mobility Expo. In addition to visiting stands to learn about products and services and attending conferences, the exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to try out the sensation of driving different electric vehicles, such as cars, scooters and buses, or to attend various demonstrations.

Parallel sectoral meetings

In this fourth edition, MUBIL Mobility Expo enriches its programme with sectoral discussion forums on real issues in order to generate spaces for debate.

On 17 April, sectoral meetings will be held by AEDIVE (Business Association for the Development and Promotion of Electric Mobility), Direbús (business organisation of SMEs in the Discretionary and Regular Public Road Passenger Transport Services Sector), the Sector Meeting on Last Mile Transport, coordinated by the Mobility and Logistics Cluster of the Basque Country and MUBIL, with the participation of the city councils of Donostia, Bilbao and Vitoria-Gasteiz, as well as the General Assemblyof the Mobility and Logistics Cluster of the Basque Country.

On 18 April it will be the turn of the Basque Hydrogen Corridor to hold its 3rd meeting of the BH2C Mobility Vertical Use.
