60 companies have already confirmed that they will be taking part in the second Go Mobility event

The second meeting of the Go Mobility Technical Committee took place this morning at Ficoba, where the progress of the fair’s marketing was reported, as well as the speakers who have already joined the conference panel.

Sales for the second Go Mobility event are progressing well. The fair, which this year will focus on the new mobility of the future, defined as mobility that is environmentally friendly, safe, accessible and connected, has already had more than 60 companies confirm their attendance.

This second Go Mobility event, which will be held on 11th and 12th March at Ficoba, will have a large number of Basque companies on board, as well as representatives from other areas of Spain, mainly from Madrid and Barcelona, with a representation of around 20%. The event has also attracted the interest of numerous European companies, with a combined presence at this time of 20%, with French companies accounting for a large part of the total. These figures demonstrate the commitment to internationalisation of this second trade fair.

With regard to the sectors that these companies represent, the largest percentage is found in freight infrastructure, followed by integrated sustainable mobility solutions, manufacturers, assemblers and subcontractors for trams, buses, cars, vans and lorries, energy storage, component manufacturers, technology and research centres, universities and vocational training.

Several of the exhibitors, besides showing their products and services at their stands, will offer the possibility to test and see their vehicles in operation in the Test Drive Area. Participation in this area has already been confirmed by Irizar e-mobility, Basque mobility, SEAT, Tecnalia, Man, Renault, Kia, Peugeot and CEIT IK4.

Spaces to share experiences

The conference program that aims to show good practices, proposals, trends and success stories is also taking shape. Among the speakers who have already confirmed assistance is Saki Gerassis, representative of the General Mobility Directorate of the European Commission, which will offer the Commission’s vision in the field of new mobility.

Ignacio Barrios, CEO of KIDO Dynamics, a company that operates in 6 countries providing its innovative, socio-physics inspired Big Data analysis solutions to businesses and local governments, will be talking about the Democratisation of Mobility Big Data, driving the data-based economy”.

Another speaker who has confirmed her presence at Go Mobility is Raluca Fiser, vice-president of the environmental NGO, Green Revolution, the first Romanian urban ecology NGO to implement measures for the construction of a green city. Raluca will talk about the trends in urban mobility at the 2020 Go Mobility.

Go Mobility will also provide an opportunity to find out about the experiences of the Belgian association for electromobility, AVERE, through its secretary general, Philippe Vangeelas well as the Catalan cooperative Som Mobilitat, which aims to promote actions and projects that contribute to making its members’ travel arrangements more sustainable.

The concept of areas to learn about experiences is completed via the Poster Area. An area that was particularly well received at the first Go Mobility event, where a number of new European mobility projects were presented in poster format.

Visitor profile

Go Mobility has set itself the goal of attracting visitors interested in the various segments of the new mobility value chain, such as political and technical representatives of communities and municipalities, public infrastructure builders, civil engineering and architecture companies, companies managing infrastructures aimed at the end user, energy suppliers, support industries, taxi operators, car-sharing services, local transport and distribution, engineering companies, ICTs and investment or venture capital networks, among others.
